The race is the 2023 1 Day for the K.I.A. 12 Hour Endurance Run on March 25, 2023!
Cause #1
Cure RTD is an organization dedicated to saving lives through education, advances in treatment, and the search for a cure for Riboflavin Transporter Deficiency (RTD)!
Why?
With only 400 known patients in the world, RTD is an extremely rare condition affecting both Carson (3) and Parker Vail (1), both sons of my friend & fellow Air Force pilot, Dylan & Rayme Vail. As Cure RTD is currently funding multiple projects with the goal of fielding a cure in the next 5 years, contributions are more crucial now than ever!
100% of your donation will go to Cure RTD, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Donors will receive their tax-deductible receipt administered by Cure RTD!
Cause #2
1 Day for the K.I.A ("1DK") is spearheaded by The Ohio State University students & ROTC Cadets to create scholarships for families of fallen military service members!
Why?
After the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, over 8,000 children have had a parent Killed in Action (K.I.A.) with thousands more declared Prisoner of War, Missing in Action, or 100% disabled. Due to the relatively young age of military members, many children who lost a parent at a young age are just becoming university aged now.
